Established in 1913, Portland Holdings Ltd, which trades as PPC, is the country’s largest and oldest cement manufacturer. Capable of producing up to 1.8 million tons of cement per annum, we supply quality cement to customers in Zimbabwe, as well as Botswana, Zambia and Mozambique.
For over 125 years, PPC Zimbabwe has produced cement for many of Zimbabwe’s most famous landmarks such as Victoria Falls, Kariba Dam, Harare International Airport, the NRZ Building, Lake Mutirikwi and many construction projects. As a local producer, PPC Zimbabwe is proud to be making a positive contribution to the people of Zimbabwe through employment, enterprise development and community support and has remained the leading producer in Zimbabwe since its inception more than a century ago. PPC will continue to support Zimbabwe’s infrastructural industry and community growth.
PPC Zimbabwe's operations produce quality cement for customers in Zimbabwe and other parts of Africa such as Malawi and Zambia through exports. There are three PPC plants in Zimbabwe, Colleen Bawn, Bulawayo and Harare. These are among the most modern in Southern Africa and well located to serve both the Zimbabwean and neighbouring export markets. To keep up with the cement demand in Zimbabwe, a brand new PPC plant was commissioned in March 2017 by the Former President of Zimbabwe Comrade R.G. Mugabe in Harare. This was to create more convenience for our consumers and better service the growth of Zimbabwe. PPC Zimbabwe has positioned itself to support current and future infrastructural development where it will readily supply the needed cement in the country and region.
