Product Description

FORCA is a general purpose cement which is available in Mozambique. It is made from high quality raw materials; clinker being inter-ground with gypsum and blended or inter-ground with an appropriate amount of extender.


FORCA is a general purpose cement. Typical applications are concrete, mortar, plaster, masonry products, paving, precast products, grouts, shotcrete, soil stabilization and other general home and DIY applications. FORCA is a tried and tested product that has been engineered to achieve a consistent and appropriate performance. FORCA is compatible with commercial chemical admixtures.


FORCA conforms to the 42,5 N strength class of SANS 50197-1 for common cements and, depending on source factory, is identified as one of:

  • CEM II/B-M (L-S) 42,5 N
  • CEM II/B-M (S-V) 42,5 N
  • CEM II/B-L 42,5 N
  • CEM II/B-V 42,5 N
  • CEM II/A-L 42,5 N

Where “CEM II” denotes Portland Composite cement, “A” denotes an extender content between 6 and 20%, “B” denotes an extender content between 20 and 35%, “L” denotes limestone, “S” denotes blast furnace or Corex® slag, “V” denotes siliceous fly ash, and “M” denotes a mixture of the extenders in brackets following the “M”.

Bulk storage silos should be inspected on a regular basis to ensure that the inspection hatch seal is watertight and filters are clean and unblocked. Cement bags are not weather-proof and should be stored under cover, off the ground to a maximum height of 12 bags.

  • Bulk cement in road or rail tankers is not recommended as the high transportation cost does not make this viable
  • Bulk cement in 1,5 ton bulk bags as break-bulk or packed in shipping containers
